Thats amazing, you should be very proud that you did such a hard challenge and made loads of cash - hugs ginny
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ginny. :) It seriously didn't feel like too much of a challenge when taking it as a leisurely stroll in such fine weather and stopping often for photographs. :)
DeleteSounds like you enjoyed it and it wasn't too tough. It must have been wonderful up there. SO glad it went well have been dying to hear how you did. can I uncross my fingers now lol xx
ReplyDeleteLOL Yes, you can uncross everything now, we made it up and back down in one piece and between the hours of daylight on the same day. The camaraderie on the mountain track is fantastic among the walkers so with weather the way it was, there were few reasons not to complete. In all honesty, on a holiday weekend with sunshine you would never be alone for long, even if setting out to do the walk on your own. I liked that aspect of it. We even met people who were only a matter of weeks post-op for hips and knees, which I thought was amazing. They weren't tackling the snow to the summit, mind you, but that was probably wise, as it was fairly slippery, especially on the descent.
